Discover this matte finish Brass coffee filter, it is a blend of cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship. Skilled artists have engraved motifs on the filter to give it a sophisticated look. It can be used to brew coffee in a conventional style in the iconic container. In South India, it is popularly known as a drip filter or even a filter coffee maker. This coffee maker is used as a staple in various South Indian households due to its strong and flavoured coffee. It is a cylindrical-shaped container that includes four parts: the top chamber, the bottom container, the pressing disc or plunger and the Lid. In this coffee filter, two cylindrical-shaped containers are put on top of one another. The top chamber has tiny holes at the bottom, which allows hot water to drip into the bottom container. In this process, firstly, ground coffee is added to the top chamber and then pressed with the plunger. Then hot water is added to the top compartment, and slowly, water drips into the bottom chamber. The top Lid helps maintain the filter's temperature, which aids in the brewing process and prevents heat loss. Then, after a few minutes, the decoction collected in the bottom chamber will be added to a coffee mug with sugar and milk. This coffee filter can be used to make Traditional South Indian Coffee (Kaapi), Black Coffee, Iced Filter Coffee, Vietnamese Coffee etc. The coffee decoction extracted could also be used to make coffee cake, Tiramisu and Coffee Cocktail or Coffee Sauce. This Coffee filter can hold up to 125 ml water.
