Trombidium is a homoeopathic medicine prepared from the tiny red mite Trombidium muscæ domesticæ, belonging to the family Acaridea. The tincture is derived from the animal itself. It is chiefly known for its powerful action on the digestive system, particularly in cases of diarrhoea and dysentery with marked tenesmus and prolapsus ani, but its influence extends to the nervous system, joints, and skin as well.
